• The KS-1, is the first rifle developed in the Knights Stoner (KS) Carbine series by Knights Armament Company, developed as an improvement of their SR-16 series rifle. Adopted by the British Military from their Project Hunter / Future Commando Force modernisation program, it was selected and designated as the L403A1 - AIW (Alternate Individual Weapon), the rifle to supplement the L85A2 / A3 and L119A1 / A2 (Colt C7 & C8), where the UK Ministry of Defense press release emphasized the need to find an AR patterned platform that "shares much in common with the rifle system used by the many of the UK allies...", where it caught waves of interest from the airsoft and firearms community after making its debut appearance back in June of 2023 with the British Armed Forces, particularly in elements of its Strike Company and Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron of the Royal Marine Commandos and its newly reformed Ranger Regiment, being the first to receive its L403A1 variant at the end of 2023.
